The TopGear threesome are obviously looking at going it alone and creating a new kind of TV show under a different name and company and this scares the BBC and a rumour has it that they have met with ITV boss Peter Fincham to discuss working with the terrestrial TV channel.
It has now been uncovered that a tiny weeny small clause in their BBC contract means that the presenters are not able to work with any other channel until 2017. This causes a fair few issues for the ex TopGear team.
Do they sign up to an online channel like Netflix or Amazon and have to live with the show not being as popular as it could be or do they hold off until 2017 where they can start a fresh with a TV channel. But waiting that long also gives Chris Evans the opportunity to gain popularity and Jeremy, Richard and James being kicked to the curb.
That is a huge predicament, or they could just say sod it and go to ITV and let ITV pick up the legal fees from the BBC as their legal teams waste the License holders money. What do you think should happen? What would you do?
